KUALA LUMPUR: An army helicopter undertook a mercy flight from Muar, Johor to Kuala Lumpur yesterday evening to transport a donor heart and a pair of lungs to the National Heart Institute (IJN) for transplant.
The helicopter took off from the Muar High School field at 5.35pm and touched down at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital field at 6.10pm, said a spokesman of the army public relations unit.
The organs were from a patient who had died at Muar Hospital, he said.
