KUALA TERENGGANU: Players of Super League side T-Team stand to get a plot of land each if they win the Malaysia Cup this season.“Though the announcement (of the incentive offer) may be too early, it is hoped that it will help spur the players,” team manager Datuk Rahin Mohd Said told reporters after meeting the players here yesterday.

Rahin, who is also the state committee chairman for Youth and Sports, said apart from the Cup, T-Team would also be targeting the FA Cup.

He added that based on their performance, he was confident T-Team would emerge as serious contenders and become only the second side after MPPJ in 2003 to win the prestigious Malaysia Cup.

Rahin said T-Team, making their debut in the Super League, would be made up of old and new faces with a blend of young and experienced players.

He added that apart from Ismail Faruqi Ashari, Mohd Shazlan Alias and Ahmad Shahril Zakaria from the 2008 Sukma squad, T-Team had also roped in a number of players like Abdul Hadi Yahya of Kuala Lumpur and Harizul Izuan Abd Rani of Proton FC to beef up the squad.

T-Team will kick off their Super League campaign against Kuala Lumpur at Kuala Lumpur Football Stadium in Cheras here tomorrow.

Head coach Che Ku Marzuki Che Ku Mohd Nor would take charge of the team while former player Rosdi Awang would assist him. — Bernama
