KUALA LUMPUR: Mambong MP Datuk Dr James Dawos Mamit was sworn in as Deputy Tourism Minister before Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin at Istana Terengganu yesterday.Present were Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and several cabinet ministers, including Tourism Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen.
Dawos later took the oath of office and loyalty and signed the appointment document witnessed by Chief Justice Tun Zaki Tun Azmi and Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Sidek Hassan.
Dawos, who is also Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu supreme council member, replaced Dato Sri Sulaiman Abdul Rahman Taib, who resigned from the post recently due to health problems. — Bernama
