He said the task force, which will be headed by the director of State Public Services Department (JPAN) Datuk Nordin Siman, will be known as the State Integrity Monitoring Task Force and will start operating as soon as possible after identifying officers who will be on the task force.

“The state government is actively focusing on the state’s development for the peace and prosperity of the people through, among others, the State Development and Progress Direction plan and various policies and development agenda, including the latest mechanisms which are the National Key Result Areas (NKRA) and the Key Performance Indicators (KPI).

“As such, to ensure the success of each plan, implementation and development programmes, integrity values must include the actions of all public service personnel,” Musa told reporters after chairing a meeting of the Committee on Total Management here.

According to Musa, the task force was responsible for, among others, monitoring the effectiveness of integrity programmes’ implementation and the delivery system of public services, making surprise checks or “Mystery Shopping” on all government agencies and preparing immediate reports for the State Secretary Datuk Sukarti Wakiman, or heads of related departments, and suggest improvement measures.

Besides JPAN, he said, the task force will have members from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission, the State Public Complaints Bureau, and the Integrity Unit of the Chief Minister’s Department. — Bernama
