KUCHING: The LimeTree Hotel ushered in the new year with a New Year’s Eve celebration held together with the pre-opening of its LimeLight Rooftop Lounge recently.

The LimeLight Lounge is located at the highest level of the hotel an the fifth floor, comprising an indoor function room, outdoor area and a private room.
The event began with an open bar from 7pm to 9pm offering free alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and a range of finger foods prepared mainly by the hotel’s catering team.
A large projector screen constantly showed an interesting series of slideshows of the history of the hotel and the lounge, showcasing its rooms and the owner’s lime plantation.
Lucky draws with exciting prizes including free nights at the hotel and dining vouchers worth RM5,000 were given away.
Guests were also introduced to the new promotional menu of the lounge by the dynamic LimeLight team to enjoy discounted prices for all drinks including lime-inspired cocktails and mocktails.
Guests experienced the vibrant and contemporary environment of the lounge amidst house and downtempo beats and some enjoyed the light entertainment of a karaoke session available at the soundproofed private room that night.
With the unique retractable roofing in the outdoor area, many were able to gather outside for the countdown to the New Year which was done over a breathtaking view of the city and river and with full view of fireworks display despite a slight drizzle.
According to a press release from LimeTree Hotel yesterday, LimeLight Lounge aims to be the new pulse of the city as the trendy venue for small to medium sized functions such as cocktail weddings, private parties, birthday events, press conferences and product launches.
With its large projector screen, LimeLight’s indoor function room is also suitable for seminars, meetings and sports viewing with the capacity of 50 to 100 persons.
