Two killed, one injured in Kancil-Prado crash

SRI AMAN: Two died and one was injured in a collision between a Perodua Kancil and a Toyota Prado at Km 59 Skrang, Sri Aman at 10am yesterday.

The Kancil travelling from Lubok  Antu to Sarikei was driven by Lau Ing Huo, 50, carrying a passenger, Bulan Selumbeng, 41.

Both driver and passenger in the Kancil died on the spot while the driver of the Toyota Prado escaped with minor injuries.

According to eye-witnesses, the Prado from Sarikei was heading towards Sri Aman.

Firemen from Sri Aman Fire and Rescue Services Department were despatched to the scene and took some time to extricate the two bodies pinned inside the Kancil.

They were later brought to Sri Aman Hospital for post mortem.

Meanwhile on Friday in Kuching,  a  general   worker plunged  to  his  death  from a highrise building under construction near Masja complex, Petra Jaya.

The worker, identified as Boon Shin Mein, 56, from Batu Kawa, fell down around 2pm.

The police and an ambulance rushed to the scene but the worker had died on the spot.

Police have classified the case as an accident.
