FOUND: Law’s body was found lying on its side in the bushes.

A search team took about one and a half hours to bring Law’s body out of the area, which is about 10km from the main road.

The team went to the area after receiving a report from rubber tappers, who found her belongings there.

“At 10.30am, we received a call from the search and rescue team that they had found the body, lying on its side, way inside the jungle,” said Miri OCPD ACP Jamaluddin Ibrahim.

“Based on our initial investigation, no injuries that indicate foul play were found on her body,” he said.

Law’s belongings, including her clothes, were found 50 metres from her body.

She failed to return home on Jan 11, after travelling on a bus from the city area to Mile 7 Jalan Miri-Bintulu.

More than 100 personnel from Miri police, General Operations Force (GOF), Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), Civil Defence Department (JPAM), Rela and Kampung Tunku Abdul Rahman Lambir villagers were involved in the search operation led by Miri public order traffic head ASP Zamri Alli.
