ING registers 28 per cent growth for Sarawak

SIBU: ING Insurance Bhd (ING) last year registered RM270 million new retail business growth distribution in Malaysia, an increase of 18 per cent growth over the previous year.

In revealing this, Ing’s regional business manager for East Malaysia, K K Choon stated that for Sarawak, it registered the highest growth of 28 per cent with RM13 million new business.

For Sibu and Bintulu last year, it recorded an impressive growth of 23 per cent, and Wong Lee Seng Agency (Sibu) chalked up 59 per cent growth as compared with the previous year, he said before presenting awards to three of the highest achievers here on Friday evening.

The three were Tiong Kai Tee, Luk Ching Tung and Luk Chen under Wong Lee Seng Agency.

Choon said for the Sarawak region, Ing this year was targeting RM20 million new business and 300 new agencies.

He said this year the company has prepared attractive luxury package foreign trips to reward its high achievers.

Firstly the foreign trip, according to him, was to Las Vegas plus San Francisco and secondly to Indonesia, with Bali as the destination to reward new members.

Last year, he said the company offered a luxury package foreign trip to Korea for achievers who reached their sales targets.

He welcomed all those interested in the insurance industry to join the business.

After the awards presentation, Choon also presided over a seminar touching on ING’s business strategic roll down for this year.
