KUALA LUMPUR: EON Bank Group started off the year of 2010 with another deposit campaign called ‘Savers Go Places’ that encourages its customers to save more.

“The latest campaign is to encourage customers to save and maintain deposits in anticipation of the on-going rewards throughout the year. This will help build fulfilling, lasting relationships with our customers. The new campaign targets both individual conventional and Islamic banking customers,” said  Michael Lor, CEO of EON Bank Group.

The ‘Savers Go Places’ campaign invites the public to open new savings or current accounts with the banking group or top-up existing accounts to win quarterly prizes that will take them places such as a car or holiday package.

These quarterly prizes include a Toyota car or a holiday destination of choice plus other consolation prizes such as iPhones, laptops, LCD TVs and holiday packages. For the first quarter ending  March 31, there is a grand prize of a Toyota Vios plus 10 consolation prizes of a local holiday destination of the winners’ choice to be won. Customers who continue to top up their deposits for the rest of the year will be rewarded with another grand prize of a Toyota Altis at the end of the year.

To be eligible for the prizes, new customers must open savings or current accounts by March 31 2010 and maintain the required minimum balance of RM5,000 for the entire year. Each RM500 balance entitles them to an entry. The number of entries multiply by the RM500 multiples. For example, if there is an average RM10,000 equals 20 entries. For existing customers, you only need to top-up at least RM1,000 each quarter for one entry where RM1,000 is equivalent to 10 entries.
