‘Art of Dim Sum’ promotion at Pullman

KUCHING: Nui Er Hong at Pullman Kuching is currently having its latest promotion, ‘Art of Dim Sum’ which promises to render a fine dining experience for everyone.Diners can expect to feast in an innumerable assortment of Chinese Dim Sum delicacies specially prepared by the hotel’s Chinese head chef, Chef Lawrence Lim who will gratify diners with his creations of everyone’s favourite dumplings, steamed dishes, deep-fried treats, tasty desserts and a host of other goodies.

While the dim sum selection serves the standard fare of Steamed Siew Mai, Steamed King Har Kau, Steamed Prawn Cheong Fun as well as Chicken Congee with Century Egg, there is also a variety of novel items such as Shanghai Xiao Long Bao, otherwise known as soup dumpling, in which each dumpling is created by wrapping meat filling with broth gelatine inside the skin and the heat from steaming would melt the gelatine into soup.

In addition to steamed dumplings, the restaurant with an open-concept kitchen also offers other popular items of dim sum aficionados such as Soft BBQ Chicken Bun, and Chicken Feet with Fragrant Black Bean Sauce, a dish comprising chicken feet that have been deep-fried, boiled, marinated in black bean sauce before it’s finally steamed, as well as the popular glutinous rice dumpling known as Double Steamed Glutinous Rice in Lotus Leaf.

On the other hand, diners will be spoilt for choice with the variety of fried Dim Sum such as Fried Prawn Cake, Black Sesame Spring Roll, Fried Golden Silk Roll, and Crispy Yellow Dumpling just to name a few.

However, the winner from the fried Dim Sum range is the Deep-Fried Prawn with Tropical Mango in which fresh prawn and mango is layered and wrapped with paper-thin beancurd skin and deep-fried to crispy perfection. Succulent and juicy on the inside and crispy crunchy goodness on the outside, one bite is all it takes to fall in love with this heavenly dish.

To end the scrumptious feast, diners can satisfy themselves with sumptuous desserts such as Tropical Mango with Sago served with Ice Cream, Chilled Fresh Sea Coconut with Ginseng Root, Chinese ‘Gui Ling Gao’ Herbal Jelly, Double Boiled Roses with Sea Coconut and Avocado Vanilla Ice Cream.

With price starting from RM5.50, the dim sums are all made fresh daily and health conscious diners will be glad to know that no MSG are added in all the food preparation at Pullman Kuching.

Meanwhile, from now until March, every four plates of dim sum ordered will entitle diners to a fifth plate of dim sum of their choice free of charge. This special promotion is available every Monday to Friday from 11.30am to 2pm.
