Andidi Rosidi, 22, Abdul Fattah Shaharuddin, 29, and Muhamad Ab Wahab, 20, all self-employed and from Kamunting, were produced in the magistrates’ court last Tuesday but no plea was recorded then because the Sessions Court judge was on leave and they were not represented.

Andidi is charged with committing the offence at SMK Convent in Jalan Convent between 12.01am and 3.30am while Abdul Fattah and Muhamad are alleged to have committed the offence at the All Sainta Church in Jalan Taming Sari here at the same time.

The charge under section 436 of the Penal Code carries a maximum 20 years jail and a fine on conviction.

Judge Meor Sulaiman Ahmad Tarmizi reduced their bail to RM5,000 from RM30,000 each on application by their counsel, Naran Singh, and they have to report to the Taiping district police headquarters every Saturday between 9am and 5pm.

He fixed April 9 for mention. Deputy public prosecutor Hamdan Hamzah appeared for the prosecution. — Bernama
