ALOR SETAR: Twenty-four local and 10 international base jumpers will take part in the Alor Setar Tower International Base Accuracy Jump Challenge 2010 at the tower grounds here from April 23 to 25.Alor Setar Tower general manager Mazlan Mahmud said it would be the first such competition to be held in Malaysia and also Asia.

“Among the international jumpers who have confirmed participation are from New Zealand, France, the United Kingdom, Venezuela, the Philippines and Singapore,” he said.

“The Base Accuracy Jump Challenge is different from the Kuala Lumpur Tower Base Jump in that the jumpers have to parachute down and land right on the target known as the dead centre.”
