Citizens indulged in an evening of fun and excitement with the Etiqa “Night at the Movies” held at the open area of the Kuching Boulevard Shopping Complex.

According to Etiqa’s regional CEO of Sarawak, Ibrahim Jaafar, “Treating customers and friends of Etiqa is our way of showing them our appreciation of their support.

“This is in line with the Etiqa brand platform of humanising insurance and takaful where we go back to basics and make things as simple as possible for our customers,” he added.

The evening began at 7.30pm with the hit movie, ‘Happy Feet’ with more than 200 people in attendance and soon, kids were on their feet dancing copying the footsteps of the cute penguins. ‘Sherlock Holmes’, which catered to the adult crowd, was shown later on at 10.00pm.

Adding to the cinematic experience, Etiqa also provided drinks and ‘kacang putih’ to the audiences much to the delight of the children. The outdoor event was kept colourful as Etiqa also distributed multi-coloured, glow-in-the-dark sticks to the audiences.

“We thank all who came and hoped that they had fun. Etiqa has more activities in mind so do come and participate to win loads of gifts and prizes,” commented Jaafar.

“The Etiqa brand platform talks about humanising insurance and takaful and tonight, we translate this in the form of a unique outdoor movie experience where the residents of Kuching get to spend more quality and entertaining time with their families and friends.

“This is also one of the ways that Etiqa is expressed, we are inclusive and genuine and whilst we are keen on the sales, we believe that relationships matter too,” commented Jaafar.

The movie night was one of the many activities Etiqa organised in conjunction with its participation at the Minggu Saham Amanah Malaysia (MSAM) 2010 in town.

Another interesting and entertaining programme by Etiqa will be the Etiqa Chills sessions with performances and shows at Kuching Waterfront on April 23 and April 24 from 5.30pm onwards.

Etiqa also took the opportunity to distribute its car stickers and flags to the audiences at the movie night, in conjunction with the ‘Spot & Win’ contest Etiqa is running in Kuching.

From April 19 to 29, Etiqa will give daily cash voucher prizes and a grand prize of a trip to the Gold Coast to lucky Kuching residents who are spotted displaying the Etiqa car stickers.

The car stickers and flags are available at Etiqa’s office at Jalan Tun Ahmad Zaidi Adruce or from Etiqa’s exhibition booth in the major shopping malls around Kuching or from Etiqa’s exhibition booth at MSAM 2010 at Wisma Bapa Malaysia.
