KUCHING: Three middle age women were yesterday sentenced to a total of 10 monthsí jail each for prostitution.They were slapped with four months’ imprisonment and fined RM2,000, in default six monthsí jail after they pleaded guilty to a charge under Section 372(B) of the Penal Code.
As they were not able to pay their fines, they had the six months added to their jail sentences.
The women aged 45, 50 and 51 were found to have prostituted themselves in a house at Batu Kawah new township about 2.45pm last April 9.
A man accused of being their pimp pleaded not guilty to a charge filed against him.
Tai Kai Chin was charged under Section 372A of the Penal Code for allegedly committing the offence at the same date and time with the three women.
The magistrate reserved June 18 for further mention and July 5 to 8 for hearing the case.
