SIBU: A man sustained serious facial injuries while his wife suffered minor injuries when a lorry rammed into their van yesterday.

Lau Kiing Ann, 54, was at the wheel of the van with his wife beside him, heading for Sibu Jaya when the accident occurred at Mile 4, Tunku Abdul Rahman Road around 11am.
The lorry, coming from the opposite direction, was said to have hit a road divider, rammed into a pinang tree and skidded before colliding with the van.
Lau and his wife, who live at Mile 5.5 Oya Road, were rushed to the hospital in an ambulance summoned by a passerby.
The lorry driver sustained minor injuries.
Police are investigating.
