This will bring SCCS another step closer to building their new centre at Taman Desa Wira, on a piece of land given to them by the state government.

SCCS president Gary Ho said that the estimated cost of the building is RM2.5 million.

“We have RM700,000 in reserve and we need another RM1.8 million so we can begin construction by the end of the year,” he said.

“We are really in need of that money because we need to build it fast.”

The run is scheduled to take place hot on the heels of another SCCS event, ‘Go Balder Than Ever’, where organisers hope to rally up RM1 million in donations.

Ho stressed that although the beneficiary is the same, the target group is different.
