“This will be my second time competing in the Classics, where I am going to battle against experienced bodybuilders who are much older than I am and also bodybuilders who have already carved for themselves names in the nationals,” he said.

According to Bong, he is ready and fit to compete for Mr. Kuching, this June, against the seniors and he is also hoping that he would give the rest of his fellow competitors a run for their money.

“I am not putting too much hope and will not be over-confident for this competition, whereby I understand very well that my other competitors are former champions themselves. It will definitely be a tough competition,” Bong added.

Bong, who started his bodybuilding career back in the 2006, when he was only 18 years old, had already achieved several achievements of his own. Having an impressive achievements of himself, Bong, will not be an easy prey to the other competitors, as his muscles are developing well at this stage, without any injuries.

Standing at 5’8’ inches tall, Bong, is currently weighing at 95kg He will need to reduce his weight to at least 90kg before the competition, this June.

Enough rest and also a very strict diet is what he is going through at the moment.

He is currently undergoing his intensive five-days-a-week routine training, at the Sarawak Sports Council (MSN) gym, located at Civic Centre, together with his fellow bodybuilder team mates.

“I am very happy with the gym facilities provided by the Sarawak State Sports Council (MSN), at the Civic Centre. It is considered one of the best gym facilities in town. A complete training can be done there. Even the State weight lifters train at the MSN gym,” Bong said.

He is set to compete in the Mr. Sarawak championship to be held in Sibu, soon after the Mr. Kuching championship, this June. Apart from that, he is also looking forward to compete in the 2010 Mr. Malaysia championship, in Penang, this July.
