Were Borneo’s natives really ‘pagans’ and ‘savages’?

Isn’t it an irony that based on such roots the British and in fact almost the entire European jurisprudence viewed adultery differently when compared the ‘uneducated’ and perhaps ‘spiritually inferior’ whose perception of adultery in law and society was more in line with the Christian roots of British law.

If our young natives of Borneo are to protect their heritage, they not only need to look at the history of their land and forefathers but get a correct view of their so-called ‘pagan and savage’ ancestors.

If you understand this, you will then appreciate the thinking of radical Malaysians such as Dr Mahathir who proposed the then unheard policies of ‘Look East’ and ‘Buy British Last’, although strangely it was a policy to favour a nation guilty of many atrocities against Asians and Malaysians.

Forgive we must but forget we cannot. Great Britain’s ‘End of Empire’ was truly justified and Winston Churchill is no saint or liberator. After the Battle of Britain, why did Churchill spend all his resources to rescue Europe from Nazi Germany? The French and the Dutch were no lovers of the British given the centuries of war between these nations.

Wasn’t Churchill’s first duty to the colonies who provided Britain with its tin, rubber, timber and all its wealth? This was not just a moral duty but a legal duty for Great Britain to liberate Asia before Europe. More on this soon.

Interactive High Court Rules of Malaysia on CD ROM. Before signing off, it gives me great pleasure to inform readers that I am presently working on a project to create a software on the rules of the High Court of Malaysia.

When completed, the Rules of the High Court will be available in digital form. Instead of lugging around a book on the rules, you can have it on your laptop or PC virtually, weightless and spaceless.

The added features are that unlike a book, by using the software you can search the entire rules for relevant information by using keywords. For example, you might want information on a summons in Court and the different types of summons.

By typing the keyword ‘Summons’ and clicking the Search button you can find 597 references to the word ‘Summons’ in the Rules of the High Court of Malaysia. High Court forms are provided and the rules are linked with the relevant forms for easy and better use.

Overall the use of this software will provide greater convenience, more speed and more precision for lawyers and non-lawyers in the usage and understanding of the Rules of High Court 1980.
