KUCHING: A 30-year-old fishmonger who allegedly assaulted, sodomised, and inserted a deodorant bottle into his fiancee’s private part has been placed on remand for seven days.
ON REMAND: The suspect being escorted to the temporary cell at the courthouse.
He appeared before a magistrate who ordered him to be produced in court on Aug 4.
He was arrested on Wednesday at his house at Mile 6, Matang Jaya after the victim’s eldest sister lodged a police report.
The fishmonger knew his fiancee for just six months before getting engaged to her recently.
The fiancee was said to be staying with him last Friday when he sexually abused her.
The victim’s niece received a text message saying that she was in trouble and when the sister learned about the assault, she took her to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH).
After that she lodged a police report.
The sister claimed that the victim was very weak and had physical injuries all over her body.
The fishmonger is a divorcee and has two teenage children. He stays with the children and a sister. The case is investigated under Section 377 of the Penal Code.
