TANJONG KARANG: Information Communication and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim yesterday reminded the Malays that the Umno constitution already has principles of the 1Malaysia Concept.
He said that under Clause 3 (6) of the constitution, the need for close relations and cooperation between the races was clearly stated.
“Coincidentally, under Clause 3 (6) of the constitution, it is clearly stated that close relations, cooperation with all the races and the creation of a single Malaysian race that is strong is necessary,” he told reporters after opening the Tanjong Karang Umno division meeting here. — Bernama
