Ketamine, Ecstasy worth over RM300,000 seized

JOHOR BAHARU: The Johor police seized drugs worth more than RM330,000 and detained six people, including three Singaporeans, in separate raids carried out since last week.

State police chief Datuk Mohd Mokhtar Mohd Shariff in the first raid, conducted last Wednesday, police detained two Malaysian men, aged 28 and 38, at Taman Seri Austin for suspected trafficking of ketamin.

The suspects, both self employed, were detained in a 11pm raid at a house where police also found 8.6kg ketamine and several items used for packaging and trafficking of drugs, he told reporters here yesterday.

He said police also seized a Yamaha LC motorcycle, a gold chain and a Proton Waja car.

The second raid was conducted at an apartment in Senibong, Masai, last Tuesday where police detained three Singaporeans and a Malaysian for alleged drug trafficking.

The Singaporeans, believed to be a family, comprised two men and a woman, aged  28, 62 and 61 respectively, while the Malaysian was a 37-year-old man. Police also seized 350gm powder, believed to be drug, and 32 Ecstasy pills, as well as sealed a Honda City car, in the 2pm raid at the apartment. — Bernama
