MIRI: Edwina Yong Li Yen, 22, from Miri was chosen Miss Sarawak Model of the World 2010 at a grand final held at Eastwood Valley Golf and Country Club on Saturday night.

She won RM3,000 cash, complimentary stay vouchers at Eastwood Valley Golf and Country Club as well as Parkcity Everly Hotel, cosmetic products worth RM2,300 from St Ella, a hamper worth RM600 from Imperial Mall, fashion clothing worth RM600 from Be You & Be Max, sunglasses sponsored by International Optical, cake hamper from Siti Payung, Panasonic Lumix camera from Chernailz and a return air ticket to Kuala Lumpur.
Edwina also walked away with two subsidiary titles namely Miss Model Popularity and Miss Model Beautiful Body.
In second place was Christina Wong, 22, from Sibu who took home RM2,000 cash while Yvonne Supang Lukas who came third received RM1,000. Both contestants also received a return air ticket to Kuala Lumpur, cosmetic products, hampers and complimentary stay vouchers.
Cyndy Liew, 21, was Miss Model Best Personality while Kho Siew Ching, Miss Model Best Catwork subsidiary title. Both contestants were from Kuching.
The beauty pageant organised by The Room Production was hosted by Miri for the first time.
The winner will represent Sarawak in the national level event to be held in Ipoh later this year.
Among those present at the event yesterday were Assistant Minister of Infrastructure Development and Communication Datuk Lee Kim Shin, Miri Mayor Lawrence Lai, manager of The Room Production and Miss Malaysia Model of the World 2009, Melissa Wong.
