KUALA TERENGGANU: The Terengganu palace yesterday presented titular awards to seven people, among them a younger brother of the Sultan of Terengganu and the Terengganu menteri besar, in conjunction with the 48th birthday of the sultan Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin on July 20.

At the investiture held at the Istana Maziah here, the Regent of Terengganu Tengku Muhammad Ismail presented Tengku Seri Temenggong Raja Tengku Baharuddin Sultan Mahmud, the younger brother of Tuanku Mizan, with the Darjah Seri Setia Sultan Mahmud Terengganu (SSMT), which carries the title ‘Datuk Seri’.
The regent presented Ahmad with the Darjah Seri Setia Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Terengganu (SSMZ), which also carries the title ‘Datuk Seri’.
Terengganu state secretary Datuk Mazlan Ngah received the Darjah Dato’ Setia Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Terengganu (DSMZ), which carries the title ‘Datuk’.
Four other people were presented the Darjah Dato’ Paduka Mahkota Terengganu (DPMT), which also carries the title ‘Datuk’.
They are Terengganu Mufti Dr Alias Abdullah, Terengganu director of Lands and Mines Osman Muda, an officer with the office of the Sultan of Terengganu Mohd Yasin Awang and lawyer Zamani Mohamad. — Bernama
