Zecon Toll expects more traffic during Ramadan

KUCHING: Zecon Toll Concessionaire Sdn Bhd (Zecon Toll) is expecting an extra 20 per cent traffic from its incumbent numbers for upcoming Ramadan period.

According to Zecon Toll general manager, Brandon Goh, the toll station currently registers average daily traffic of 20,000 vehicles.

“I would like to advise road users to consider the best alternatives available to them during the Ramadan and Hari Raya period in order for them to reach their destinations in a faster, safer and cost-effective manner,” advised Goh.

He pointed out that the Tun Salahuddin Bridge was a good alternative for road users to reach home in time to break their fast.

He pointed out that the increase in toll users throughout the years proved that more and more users found the toll facilities to be of convenience.

He added that the recent increase in fuel prices had also prompted more users to use the toll.

Goh highlighted that since 2003, the company has maintained its toll rate.

On another note, he announced that Zecon Toll would also be engaging  e-communication to communicate with its toll users.

“Besides media publication, we will also be communicating with our registered toll users through SMS and email but it is only limited to users who have registered themselves in our database,” explained Goh.

He added that for those who wanted to receive message and promotion notifications through SMS and email, they could do so by sending their information to [email protected].
