MIRI: A 36-year-old man was killed after a Honda City car that he travelling in skidded and almost plunged into a drain at Miri Airport Road early yesterday morning.

The car was left dangling over the drain after it was prevented from falling in by a tree.
The victim, identified as Wong Tiong Hua of Hilltop Park here, was on his way back from town area, before he lost control of his vehicle in the 4.40am incident yesterday.
The Miri Fire Brigade personnel who arrived minutes later managed to free Wong’s body from the driver’s seat and out of the car.
Traffic polilcemen arrived at the scene later.
Wong was believed to have died due to serious injuries he sustained on his head and body.
The body has been sent to Miri Hospital for post-mortem.
