The standard three pupil of Sekolah Kebangsaan Seberang Perak Baru was diagnosed as having serious hearing problem in the left ear and 50 per cent in the right ear by doctors at Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital last June 23, said his father, Abdul Hussin, 56.
Abdul,a self-employed with nine children, said he was informed by the hospital that the hearing device for his son cost RM2,800.
“I can’t afford it and am appealing for public help to get the device for my son,” he said when met at his house at Kampung Peremba Mukim Pengkalan Kundur near here yesterday.
Kuala Kedah Umno vice-head Datuk Mutalib Harun, who visited the family yesterday, said he would help to get the hearing device for Mohd Adnan. — Bernama
