KUALA LUMPUR: A Vietnamese worker was killed while two others seriously injured in a fight at the Ehsan Jaya Industrial Area, Kepong here at midnight Saturday.

Vovan Ha, 21, succumbed to stab wounds on the left of his back and the back of his left hand, said Gombak police chief ACP Abdul Rahim Abdullah.

However, two of Vivan’s friends, Tran Trung Phuc, 19, and Loung Quang Truong Vu, 26, were seriously injured when hit with blunt objects, said Abdul Rahim when contacted.

He said the trio, who were said to have been drunk, earlier quarrelled and fought with more than one suspect, also believed to be Vietnamese.

“The trio were said to have a misunderstanding with the suspects three days ago and the police did not rule out the fight was to settle their differences,” he said, adding that the police found a knife at the scene.

The injured Vietnamese had been admitted to the Selayang Hospital and the police will record their statements when they regain consciousness, he added. — Bernama
