KUCHING: A man broke his right leg after losing control of his motorcycle and hit a tree at a road divider early yesterday morning near 7th Mile here.
INJURED: Paramedics checking the injured victim before sending him to hospital.
The 21-year-old was heading home to Taman Landeh after finishing work at an eatery in Jalan Padungan when met with the unfortunate event at 2.15am.
His would-be fiancée, 19, who is also a co-worker in the same eatery, was riding on her own bike and tailing from behind, saw the incident and immediately called an ambulance.
He was then sent to the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) for treatment.
Traffic police was also at the scene to investigate the accident.
In an unrelated incident, a youth injured his head in an accident at Kampung Tanjung, Kota Samarahan.
The mishap occurred at 3am when the rider lost control of his machine and fell off.
An ambulance was called to the scene and he was sent to SGH for treatment.
