In confirming this yesterday, the Sarawakian racer will be competing in the Masters and DD2 in the race dubbed as ‘Europe’s best against Asia’s best’.

The other categories of the race are Micromax, Junior and Senior. “This is a big race to be held in Malaysia and one which every go-karter would not want to miss,” he said.

The event is organised by Kelab Kart Selangor (KKS) and sanctioned by the Automobile Association of Malaysia (AAM).

KKS has started accepting entries from yesterday and the closing date is Dec 27.

Freddy said it is going to be very challenging to race against the best drivers from Europe and Asia.

“I am definitely going to take part in this race. I will be sending my entry after racing in the final round of the Asian Karting Open Championship at Kartodromo de Coloane in Macau from Dec 2-5,” he added.

About 200 European based and Asian based drivers are expected to participate in the race whereby the top 34 drivers will qualify for the final in each category.
