KUCHING: Once a mining company which made its way to become a niche property developer in the country, Selangor Dredging Bhd (SDB) is launching its unique 70s inspired property project development, Dedaun today.

Situated on one acre of prime freehold land in Kuala Lumpur’s inner city, Dedaun is a low-rise development of 38 limited edition luxury residences intimately set in two interlocking ‘L-shaped’ blocks encircling an inner courtyard.

“Despite the fact that Malaysia is not located in an area with seismic activity, the entire development is designed and specified to international standards for earthquake resistance,” said its managing director Teh Lip Kim when met by The Borneo Post recently.

The projects boasts a gross development value of RM160 million.

“The landscape concept at Dedaun was specially conceived to reminisce and to celebrate the idyllic and serene lush gardens of the 70s. In line with its name, a series of unique green walls are the first things that greet you as you turn off Jalan Ampang into a shaded cul-de-sac path,” said Teh.

She further revealed that Dedaun defies convention with a design of nostalgic simplicity for those who believe that quiet elegance still speaks louder. The luxury of space brings back a style that revisits more distinguished times.

“Step out of the private lift lobby and you step into a unique forecourt just like the old days that is naturally lit and ventilated. There is the hand-crafted copper front door to create that entrance statement in the foyer. Wander beyond the four-feet wide pivot doors and a living room flows seamlessly into the dining and cascades into the dry kitchen,” she added.

The span of the room is framed by 2.7-metre indoor balconies that slide open. Columns are kept to a bare minimum and

ceiling heights are raised three metres high at the main areas.

Teh said, “Back then, there was always room for the impromptu gathering of friends and family around the kitchen. And so our dry kitchen that is fully appointed and fitted with appliances creates a natural congregation point with its signature Volakas marble island counter that stretches 3.3 metres long.”

For a more exclusive view, Dedaun offers an even more luxurious living experience with its Garden Villas and Penthouses.

Garden Villas buyers will have the privilege of having the living room directly opening out to a private 1,600 square feet themed garden with planted trees and carpet grass. Meanwhile, for Penthouse buyers, a private lift will be available up to a private timber-decked 12-metre pool terrace.

“And best of all situated up on the rooftop is a shimmering 20-metre long infinity pool that seems to share its brink with the city skyline. Dedaun is set to offer another extraordinary living experience from SDB,” Teh concluded.
