Choose wisely, Muhyiddin tells voters

SANDAKAN: Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has reminded voters in Batu Sapi to make a wise choice when casting their ballots in the by-election today.

He said the voters should choose a leader who could help bring development and provide various facilities for their own well-being and comfort.

“We want the people to consider things wisely. Today, if they are satisfied with what they have, surely they would not say it’s enough.

“We want things to be better for them in future,” he said in his speech after performing maghrib and ‘hajat’ prayers with hundreds of residents at the Al-Falah Mosque in Kampung Karamunting, here, last night.

Muhyiddin said the government wished to see the country’s multi-cultural and multi-religious society to continue to live in harmony, to progress and enjoy a better life, and efforts towards this were being undertaken by the government of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak through the 1Malaysia concept.

He said the development achieved by Malaysia thus far, had won the recognition of several leaders and the latest from the US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton who was impressed with Malaysia’s economic achievements and the prosperity enjoyed by its people. — Bernama
