Student drowns after diving into Sungai Buaya

MARANG: The body of a schoolboy who drowned after he was swept away by strong currents in the Sungai Buaya here yesterday, was recovered about four hours later.

A search and rescue team found the body of Muhammad Muzzammil Muhammad Hafzi, 12, on the river bed about 10pm — about 50 metres from where he was swimming earlier.

Payong disappeared underwater when he dived into the river.
