Nasrun refutes opposition claim he’s anti-Chinese

LAHAD DATU: The Assistant Minister to the Chief Minister, Datuk Haji Datu Nasrun Hj Datu Mansur denied the opposition accusation that he is anti-Chinese and said it was a lie. 

Nasrun when met at the gotong-royong for build a home yard to the Chief Village of PPRT Sabah Baru, Hj Utoh Salleh, yesterday said the allegations show that the opposition forced to do so  to gain the sympathy of the people.

“This is a lie and not true. I was very upset as I have many friends from the Chinese community.” He said.

“The public will not be fooled by this lie because I have a good relationship with the Chinese community in this area.” He added.

Nasrun, who is also Member of Legislative Assembly N50 Lahad Datu said while he carrying a duty as the district Assemblymen, few Chinese primary and secondary schools are not exempt   from seeking help from         the Barisan Nasional (BN).

Among the schools included were five primary schools and one secondary schools, all of which amounted to RM120, 000        for school renovations in 2007.

In additions to two primary schools this year and the Chinese temple is     also to get the help for the renovations.

“These charges could jeopardize the harmony and good relations existing between me and the Chinese communities.” He said.

Therefore, he hoped the leaders of the community, as the Village Head, Development and Security Committee (JKKK) and Area Neighborhood Watch (KRT), do not let the neighborhood become a place for the opposition to speak up and confusing        the people.

Meanwhile, he also added that the Budget 2011 announced by Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Haji Aman on Friday was very encouraging news to all people.
