BINTULU: The High Court here yesterday sentenced to death two persons who were found guilty of murder.
Lawrence Leong Collin, 26, was guilty of killing Arifuddin Jamali at RPR Sungai Plan in Tanjung Kidurong between 8pm and 9.30pm on March 24, 2007.
Judge Sangau Gunting meted out the sentence under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
Muhammad Zulfikar Moer Ahmad Muhammad, 25, was also found guilty of being with Leong in the commission of the offence.
He was charged under Section 109 of the Penal Code and read together with Section 302 of the same Code.
Deputy public prosecutor Robert Pasang Alam prosecuted while the convicts were represented by their respective counsels.
