SANDAKAN: Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Peter Pang En Yin will look into a proposal to build another access road linking Jalan Cecily and Jalan Indah Jaya to accommodate the increasing number of Lok Yuk Primary School here.

He said the school’s board of directors had made the proposal and added that he understood their desire to maintain the school which had only about 120 students.

“I would do my best to talk to the relevant authorities and to find out if there is any possibility of building a sideroad linking up the school so that residents of Taman Indah Jaya can send their children to Lok Yuk Primary School,” said Pang after meeting the school’s board of directors at his office yesterday.

On another issue, he said he would look into the shortage of computers in the school and would do his best to assist the school to install a CCTV for the safety of the students especially to prevent break-ins during weekends and school holidays.
