LAHAD DATU: Enforcement Unit officials of the District Council here seized a total of one tonne of potatoes, 300kg of cucumber, 40kg of mangoes, 300kg of mustard, 50kg of papaya, 10kg of kale and two baskets of bread during an operation at the Central market, fish market, Jalan Mawar and Dataran Sedco here on Thursday.

The enforcement officials also seized four umbrellas and eight wheelbarrows which they believed belonged to the illegal hawkers. Enforcement Unit assistant chief Aliuddin Bin Miasin, who led the operation, yesterday said the operation also which involved teams from Civil Defence Department and Customs.
Meanwhile, Aliuddin said the operation would continue from time to time to curb the illegal hawkers in the district.
