SIBU: A woman was in a state of shock and dismay after she found out her 14-year-old daughter was five months’ pregnant instead of bloated tummy as claimed by the daughter.
The mother only discovered the girl’s odd physical shape when she brought her out for a stroll on Tuesday.
She had asked the daughter about it, but the girl gave a vague response saying she had eaten too much.
The mother felt something amiss and brought her to a clinic for a medical checkup on Thursday after she found the girl’s belly was abnormally hard.
She was shocked when the doctor told her that her daughter was five months pregnant.
The girl, from Sg Nasir, Bintangor, refused to disclose details of the incident to the mother for fear of getting a beating.
The mother suspected her daughter was raped by a stranger and lodged a report at the police station.
