Sabahan second in model contest

KOTA KINABALU: Sabahan model John Lee Jun Yun won second place at the Mister Malaysia Top Model International held on Dec 19 at Tropicana Grand Ballroom, Melaka.

John, hailed from Kota Kinabalu, competed for the first time with 14 male model finalists at the national level modelling competition organised
by Backstage Model Production.

He brought home cash prize of RM2,000 and a trophy.

The winner was Sivarajan from Melaka, while in third place was Yuriy Ltuishkor of Selangor.

Another Sabah model, Frederick Ho Vui Ann, bagged the Mister Personality Soho subsidiary title, while two female models representing Sabah, Paula Imbayan and Naomi Halima Dingle Ligunjang, who were winner and runner-up respectively of the recently held Miss Sabah Top Model International, did not secure any placing.

The winner of the Miss Malaysia Top Model International 2010 was Danielle Khor, first runner-up was Renee Tan, and in third place was Kelly Khor, all from Melaka.

The Sabah models were in Melaka for seven days together with Victor Gerard Kuasi, the organising chairman of the Miss and Mister Sabah Top Model International 2010.

Activities prior to the competition included Melaka city tour, charity visit to Seri Kenangan Cheng old folks’ home, visit to Melaka Wonderland Theme Park and preview sessions at shopping malls.
