French food lovers should head to Café Majestic this month

KUCHING: French cuisine is being promoted at Cafe Majestic in the Riverside Majestic Hotel Kuching this month.

Cafe Majestic Bon Appetit buffet lunch and dinner feature delightful appetisers, main courses and a long line of desserts.

The lunch and dinner buffet promotion is perfectly suited for those who seek a quick and satisfying meal that is of great value for money.

To start things off, look out for chicken liver pate with walnuts, French garlic sausage with pickles, Brie cheese on crackers, camembert with green apples, marinated mushrooms with fresh basil and many more on offer at the appetiser section.

The soup counter features French favourites of Bouillabaisse (fish soup), Creme Du Barry (cream of cauliflower soup), French onion soup with cheese crouton, Vichyssoise (potato and leek soup), Lentil Tomato Soup and Potage Crecy (carrot soup).

Next on the daily menu are selections of French breads, which provide just the right pairing for soups.

The range includes French baguette, sesame crispy bread, soft rolls and wholemeal rolls.

The main buffet counter features Gratin Douphinois (potato with melted cheese), cheesy mashed potato, Pommes William and Croquette (William and croquette potatoes), Supreme De Poulet (breast of chicken in cream sauce), Poulet Roti Provencal (roasted chicken with herbs), Canard a la O’range (roasted duck in orange soup), Chicken Fricassee and Chicken Chasseur.

Highlights of the buffet line features great selection or meat and fish.

Meat lovers will salivate at the offerings of Boeuf Bourguignon, Blanquette De Veau, Veau Mangero, Steak Au Poivre and Lamb Navarin.

Not forgetting seafood lovers, executive chef Patrick Chew has prepared Prawns Thermidor (gratinated prawns in cream sauce), Foil Baked Salmon with ginger, onion and honey, Panure a l’anglaise, Sole Meuniere, mussels in saffron infused cream sauce, stuffed mussels with herbs crust.

Healthy options such as Tomatoes Provencale, Ratatuoille, Choux De Bruxellelles Aux Marrons, Carrottes Vichy, Cauliflower au gratin and Sauté French Beans are also available daily.

Meanwhile, the exciting Showmanship Counters offer patrons mouthwatering options of Crepes Suzette, Tartte Au Tatin, Quiche Lorraine, Spinach quiche and Broccoli quiche.

After that sign off with Chef’s selection of delicious array of desserts.

Bon Appetit is priced at RM45 nett and is available for lunch from Monday to Friday while dinner is available on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
