SARIKEI: Chief Justice of Malaysia, Tun Dato Seri Zaki Tun Azmi yesterday visited the newly completed courthouse located along Jalan Bangunan Kerajaan here.
Azmi, who was accompanied by Court of Appeal Judge Dato Seri Md Raus Sharif and others, was shown around the court premises by the court’s magistrate, Jessie Wong.
The new RM6.8 million courts commenced operation last December although it is yet to be officially opened.
The new court complex houses two courtrooms, office, conference room, a library, canteen, separate ‘surau’ for male and female Muslims and other facilities.
