PADAWAN: The youths of Kampung Mundai completed the stage-by-stage fencing of a football field last Sunday.
Shielding both sides of the field, the fencing, carried out on gotong royong, is to prevent the ball from being (accidentally) kicked into the compound of a nearby house during practice or competition.
This project was led Rutus Siros, president of Kampung Mundai Youths Committee, and assisted by Louis Rangas, Charles Justin, Chong Chee Choi and Bowie Chang.
Rutus thanked all those involved for their support.
To mark the success of the project, the committee will hold a ‘thank-you’ gathering at the Kampung Mundai Community hall on Feb 27, starting at 12 noon.
