Music enjoys long and proud tradition in the naval service and today’s U.S. 7th Fleet Band carries on that tradition with a modern, fast-paced beat.

Created in 1943 with the establishment of the U.S. 7th Fleet, the band has performed for literally millions throughout the Western Pacific.

They have brought their special brand of American music to enthusiastic fans in Japan, the Philippines, South Korea, Australia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and many other areas of the Far East.

Comprising professional navy musicians, 7th Fleet Band operates from Yokosuka, Japan, along with the U.S. 7th Fleet flagship, USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19).

Both the Ceremonial Band and the Far East Edition of the U.S. 7th Fleet Band will be performing in Kota Kinabalu.

The Ceremonial Band has been performing throughout the Pacific and Asian area with a long and proud naval heritage by stirring patriotism and strengthening ties with international audiences.

The Far East Edition, with a 20-piece show band is well-known for its amazing versatility.

They perform a variety of styles, ranging from traditional to contemporary Big Bank, Jazz, Latin and Popular music of today.

Far East Edition has been a featured attraction at major events throughout Australia and the Far East, and covers more square miles than any other navy band. Whether performing locally in Japan or on the road, Far East Edition is met with excitement and enthusiasm.
