The beauty and wellness centre was recently awarded the first panel franchisor of Malaysia Young Female Entrepreneur Forum (Myfren) in October last year, presented by the prime minister’s wife Datin Paduka Seri Rosmah Mansor.

Allunique managing director Judy Siaw, 40, said she was proud to represent the state as the first beauty and wellness centre to be awarded the first panel franchisor for Myfren.

“Myfren is a premier platform to gather thoughts and ideas of entrepreneurs to encourage more young female Malaysians to venture into entrepreneurism and business.

“I hope the award can inspire other young female entrepreneurs to come forward and join us to kick-start their own beauty centre and wellness centre with Allunique,” Siaw said.

Allunique would provide a business model for their franchisee which included training and guidance.

She said Bumiputera Allunique franchisee will be supported by Perbadanan Nasional Berhad (PNS) providing assistance through loans, and guidance in preparing business proposals for loan application.

Established in early February 2009, Allunique was among the first high technology hair restoration centre in Sarawak.

“We extended our business few months later to open a new outlet at Rock Road, mainly providing hair restoration therapy for man and woman. The company has grown steadily by including beauty and slimming business with Unisense and Thalgo.

With international brands and technology blended together under one roof, Allunique managed to combine the best and effective medically proven hair, beauty and slimming therapy for customers,” said Siaw.

According to Siaw, what made Allunique a major player in the wellness business was they always ensured treatments and therapy provided had the safety approval of international bodies.

“Malaysians in general tend to be interested and keen in using medically-proven technology therapy in keeping themselves beautiful and healthy. Customers place high importance on treatments that are safe and non-invasive,” she explained.

The energetic mother-of-four who runs three Allunique branches in Kuching (Rock Road and Satok) and one in Kota Kinabalu said mothers could pursue anything and be successful if they put their mind to it.

“I always put my children first and I make the most of the time I have with them despite my busy schedule,” said the hands-on mother who is on the road by 6.30am everyday to chauffeur her children to two schools and her mother’s home.

Recently, she received the ‘Service Provider of The Year’ award from Deputy Minister of International Trade Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir at the 4th Business of the Year Award.
