KUCHING: An office boy lodged a police report yesterday claiming he was held up at knife-point and robbed of RM10,000 in
cash.

The 33-year-old victim had claimed the incident occurred the night before near a government clinic in Petra Jaya when he was about to get his motorcycle.

Two men wearing full-faced helmets were said to have approached him and placed a machete against his neck before relieving him of a sling bag containing the cash and fleeing on a motorcycle.

Meanwhile, a 22-year-old man from Batu Kawah lost RM800 in cash after snatch thieves stole a bag placed on the roof of his car yesterday.

The incident happened around 7.30am at the Sarawak General Hospital parking lot when the victim momentarily placed his pouch on the roof of his car while trying to retrieve another item from the boot.

Two unidentified men on a motorcycle were said to have stopped and grabbed the bag, which contained a gold ring among other things, and sped off.

Police are investigating both incidents.
