The Malaysian Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism Show (Maha) 2010 raked in RM23.5 million in sales and attracted 2.6 million visitors during the 10-day event last year, the Dewan Rakyat was told yesterday.
Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister Datuk Seri Noh Omar said the performance in last year’s exhibition exceeded the 1.2 million attendance and RM18 million in sales during the Maha 2008.
The Maha 2010 also recorded RM153 million in sales matching and 184,331 trade enquiries, he said in reply to Datuk Abu Bakar Taib (BN-Langkawi).
Noh said 2,502 government agencies, foreign corporations and small-and-medium industry entrepreneurs took part in MAHA 2010. — Bernama
