BAU: Barisan Nasional (BN) has fine-tuned its election machinery to ensure victory remain in their hands on April 16.

BN-SPDP incumbent Datuk Peter Nansian yesterday said his team was moving briskly towards campaigns after naming their candidates at Bau Civic Centre yesterday.

The five-term Tasik Biru incumbent said it is now up to the voters to choose their representatives wisely.

“The incumbents are like medications. The power to choose the right medication to make them better is in their hands,” he said.

“I would like to remind voters to choose a reputable representative, that is from a party with the highest chances of forming a government,” he said.

There are 15,100 registered voters in Tasik Biru where in 2006, Nansian won with a 3,203 majority.

Meanwhile, PKR candidate Datuk John Tenewi Nuek was confident the three-cornered fight and intense campaigning would be a healthy one.

Asked whether people might be confused about SNAP and PKR’s agenda, he said it would not, as both had distinct agendas.

PKR vice-president John, 65, was a former diplomat.

Meanwhile SNAP candidate is former Customs director Frankie Nyombui.
