Aim for 32 golds — Rosnani

MIRI: Host Miri are aiming for 32 gold, 36 silver and 21 bronze medals in the Track and Field Event of Majlis Sukan Sekolah-Sekolah Sarawak (MSSS) on April 11-14.

According to the contingent leader Rosnani Yunus, the team will strive to secure gold in the track and field events.

“This year, 150 athletes are selected to represent Miri in the inter-division sports meet at the stadium here,” she said.

Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Dr George Chan is expected to officiate at the opening ceremony.

A total of 854 athletes from the 11 divisions will take part in the championship.

They are Kuching, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Kapit, Mukah, Bintulu, Miri and Limbang.

Present at the handing over of flag were team leader Wong King Kui, principal of SMK Chung Hwa and Robin Udau the headmaster of SK Pujut Corner.
