Tiger Futbol Starz returns for second season this Sunday

KUALA LUMPUR: Tiger Futbol Starz, a reality show to search for young football talent between aged 10 and 15, will be returning for its second season, starting this Sunday on Astro Ria Channel 104.

The one hour football reality show will feature 13 episodes where 21 participants will be undergoing three weeks of intensive training at Futbol Starz Academy.

Once again, the programme previous host Erra Fazira was given the responsibility to host the second season, together with Awal Ashaari who will be introduced as the ‘Big Brother’ to the participants.

According to Astro Ria channel manager Azlin Reza Azmi, Astro Ria will always support programmes which would encourage viewers to lead a healthy lifestyle.

“This programme will also assist in improving talents and building self-esteem among participants.

“Parents’ support towards the children’s dream to become an establish football player will give them the love they need to achieve their ambition,” he said.

The second season will see a collaboration between Tiger Biscuits and Liverpool FC, as participants will get the opportunity to train under David Ridler, who is the Liverpool Academy trainer brought in especially for this show.

Techniques and training used by Liverpool FC will be incorporated in the training module, while the winner of the search would receive the golden opportunity of an exclusive training at Liverpool in the United Kingdom. Two local coaches – ex-national players Ahmad Fairuz Yunus and Rusdi Suparman would be coaching the participants.

Aidil Zafuan and Malaysia legendary footballer Zainal Abidin Hassan are expected to make their special appearance.
