SERIOUS DISCUSSION: Wong (right) stresses a point to Najib when welcoming the latter at Sibu Airport.

SIBU: SUPP Sibu branch chairman Dato Sri Wong Soon Koh said all four BN candidates here had done their best during the campaigning period.

“We leave it to the voters now. I hope the people of Sibu will think twice before they cast their vote tomorrow (today).

“I hope people will come to their senses to see what is best for their future,” he told reporters after welcoming Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak from Kapit at Sibu Airport yesterday.

Wong, who is Bawang Assan candidate, said it was hard to predict who would win in Bawang Assan, Dudong, Pelawan and Bukit Assek.

He believed there might be some breakthrough.

“Urban voters are shaky. There is quite a strong sentiment perhaps against the BN but in rural areas there are lesser factors.

“Like my Iban voters (in Bawang Assan), they are with me and I hope the strong support of the Ibans would offset what I may lose in the urban areas.

“I hope I can also breakeven in the Chinese areas,” he said.
