‘Hula Hula Bintulu’ during Miss Sarawak Model competition

BINTULU: In conjunction with ‘Miss Sarawak Model of The World 2011’ there will be a programme called ‘Hula Hula Bintulu’ to be held over the weekend of April 23 and 24.The event jointly organised and sponsored by ParkCity Mall, New World Suites, the Bay Departmental Store, Trinity and Pet Lovers will take place at Bintulu Promenade from 11am to 6pm.

Davis Wong, the organizing chairman of Miss Sarawak Model of The World 2011 said various programmes and activities will be held during the two-day event and the entry is free.

Among the programmes are animal show, exhibition, food stalls, kid drawing contest, burger eating competition, cooking competition and a  major car show.

“About 120 over stalls will be set up,” said Wong who is the managing director of Trinity at a press conference for international models seminar at New World Suites yesterday. Some 50 contestants took part in the seminar.

He said contestants for Miss Bintulu Model 2011 will be present at the event where 12 of them will be selected to represent Bintulu for Miss Sarawak Model of the World 2011 that will be held in Bintulu.

“Bintulu will host the final competition on July 2 at Bintulu Civic Centre,” said Wong.

According to Wong the seminar yesterday was meant to train and prepare the contestants to be good models and also for all future events including the audition on May 9.

“We are trying to get them to be more prepared as a model.

“During the audition itself we are going to choose 12 contestants to represent Bintulu,” he added.

He said all divisions have its own event and only four finalists from each division will be qualified for the final competition in Bintulu.
